A tabletop unit uses an air compressor, which is why it is bulky, loud and has to be plugged in and kept flat. This one uses a vibrating mesh plate instead, so it is palm-sized, runs on batteries and keeps working when it is tilted.
No — batteries are not included, so pick some up before the first use. A USB cable, a measuring cup, an adult mask, a child mask and a mouthpiece are all in the box.
A smaller mask sized for a child’s face is included, and the mist rate can be turned down. Children should always be supervised by an adult, and the dosing and schedule are your healthcare professional’s call.
Empty anything left in the cup after each use, then rinse the cup, the mask and the mouthpiece under warm running water and stand them on a clean towel to air-dry. Do not put the electronic handle under the tap.
